QuickBurst Privacy Policy

QuickBurst is a camera app. We designed it to keep your photos and personal content on your device. We collect limited, anonymized usage analytics to understand how the app is used and improve it.

What we access

• Camera: to show the viewfinder and capture photos. Photos are processed on-device.
• Photo Library (add-only): only when you choose to export shots. We add the photos you select and do not read your existing library.
• Location (optional): only if you turn on location tagging, we embed GPS coordinates into the photos you capture. This is off by default and the data stays in your photo’s metadata on your device.
• Your bursts and ratings are stored locally on your device.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives a random app-generated identifier and your purchase/transaction status; it does not receive your name, email, or photos. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data, such as which screens are visited, which features are used, session length, device model, OS version, and coarse region derived from your IP address. This data is associated with a random app-instance identifier, not with your name or email (we never ask for either). Analytics events never include your photos, their contents, or their GPS metadata. Firebase may process this data on Google servers; see Firebase’s privacy documentation and Google’s privacy policy.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not collect your photos or their location metadata.
• We do not require an account.
• We do not show ads or use analytics data for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Because QuickBurst has no accounts, we hold no profile, name, email or Apple ID that could be deleted on our side. Everything the app stores (your bursts, ratings and settings) lives on your device. Deleting the app removes it, except a small anonymous counter of free shots kept in your device’s Keychain, which is cleared when you erase the device. Photos you exported to your Photo Library stay there until you delete them.

Firebase analytics data is not linked to you. Google automatically deletes individual events after 2 months, and the random app-instance identifier with its data 14 months after you last use the app. Only aggregated statistics that cannot identify anyone are kept longer. RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as needed to manage your subscription. If you email us, we keep the conversation only as long as needed to answer you.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK or another region with similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email hello@quickburst.app. If you have a subscription, including the RevenueCat ID or App Store order ID helps us find the matching purchase record.
